James Dean earned his Little Bastard moniker from the head of Paramount studios. Dean would ride onto the studio lot on his un-silenced Triumph Trophy motorcycle. He'd had it lightly customized by dealer Bud Ekins to resemble Marlon Brando's Triumph from The Wild One. Jimmy had met Marlon on the set while filming was in progress. And was impressed by the look of Marlons bike. So as he roared through the studio roads every morning. The executive would ask who is making all that noise. His secretary would answer its "Dean Sir. " From then on. Whenever Dean rode onto the lot. The exec would shout "That Little Bastard!"
