Black Dry-Wax

This jacket is inspired by that worn by James Dean in the immortal film Rebel Without A Cause. After filming finished, Dean never returned it to the wardrobe department but instead chose to keep it for his own personal use. One September morning in 1955, Dean grabbed his favorite jacket, threw it in his Porsche 550 Spyder and headed out to the Salinas Race Track. Later that Friday afternoon, Dean chose to unload his Porsche from it's trailer to drive the racer for the final leg of the journey. He put his favorite red jacket on as the sun was going down as the air would chill driving the open car.  He waved goodbye to his friends, and headed out onto Highway 441. And the rest is history.

The image of James Dean's Porsche 550 is Foil printed into the inside back of the jacket in honor of our favorite actor and racer.

This jacket is a medium weight 10 oz 100% cotton dry-wax treated, with brass zipper and elasticated waist at the back. Button cuffs, and two slash-cut D-Squared front pockets. This is a beautiful jacket to wear with your favorite raw denim. Cut and sewn in Silverlake at our Sunset Junction headquarters.
